This page explains the rules by which material appears on the site and what happens when someone finds a mistake in it.
Who prepares the texts
Every piece has an author, and the name is shown on the article page. Responsibility for the facts lies with the site editors, not with outside contractors.
Material on this site is prepared and checked by Dylan Mercer.
Sources and fact checking
Figures, dates and quotations are checked against the primary source. When a statement relies on someone else data, the text names the owner of that data and the period it covers.
Fixing inaccuracies
An error report is reviewed within a few working days. If the error is confirmed, the text is corrected and the update date and the reason for the edit are shown on the page.
